BSCDaily hosts Cyball: #NFTs #Cyball #P2E #BSCDaily #BSC
BSC_Daily Admin: Hello and welcome, how are you today?
El: Hey everyone! I’m well. Thanks for having me! Great to see many people here!
BSC_Daily Admin: Happy to hear! Ready to start our AMA?
Q1: Now to start the AMA, team Cyball please have a quick introduction to the community. What is Cyball all about?
El: CyBall is an NFT-based, Play-to-Earn game on the blockchain. The theme is inspired from football (soccer) where users can collect, trade, mentor and battle their CyBlocs.
Our vision for CyBall is to create the best user experience out there for our community, changing the way users play around the world while taking the opportunity to give back, such as through charity events within the game.
Our team believes that the blockchain gaming movement is here to stay for the long term and we are confident that CyBall will be one of the strongest long-term players.
Q2: Please share with us the background of the team behind this project. What are your past experiences?
El: Our team is extensive, yet every single person plays an imperative role in the successful development of CyBall.
We have assembled an all-star team of ~30 members including developers, founders, product managers, marketing specialists, artists and passionate individuals to ensure that CyBall is formed to its fullest potential.
CyBall was formed by 4 co-founders – Aaron, Long, Tin and Kevin who are the pillars of our project. You can read more about their extensive knowledge and expertise on crypto, NFT’s and the blockchain.
As you may know, a project is nothing without great marketing and a solid community. We also have a range of marketing and community specialists who deal with partnerships, brand development and collaborative work for CyBall.

Q3: What makes Cyball different from other competitors?
El: I would say not reinventing the wheel, and following + trying to improve upon Axie Infinity’s game and blockchain economy is an advantage on its own.
This is very important because if affects the “earn” part directly, as well as the longevity of the project rather than inventing something untested and brand new which may die after 3-5 days like 99% of other games.
Further, Play-to-Earn has also led to a new phenomenon with Guilds/Scholarships. CyBall aims to optimize this concept in order to streamline the experience for both guilds and scholars via our CyLoans system.
In short CyLoans is an automated guild/scholarship, or rather, an automated in-game character lending/borrowing system. It will allow everyone who has spare CyBlocs to be a Guild (a lender), and everyone who is looking for CyBlocs to play with to be a scholar (borrower).
Q4: Let’s dive into your tokens. Which kind of role does $CBT & $CYB have within your ecosystem?
El: CyBall will utilize a two token-model.
CyBloc Battery Token (CBT) is our main play-to-earn token with no fixed supply and will be released together with our game launch. Users can earn CBT by playing the various game modes in our game and can spend CBT on various features such as mentoring, items and upgrades.
CyBall Token (CYB) is our governance token which we currently have no fixed plan to release as we plan to have all eyes focused on our NFT and game release initially. However, we expect CYB to be the value-capturing token that will be given out as staking rewards and special game rewards for certain occasions such as end of league season or tournament prizes.
Both tokens will benefit the users of the game (i.e. gamers or CyBallers) through our Play-to-Earn mechanisms but also through various utilities that we have in place to support the CyBloc universe.
Q5: Please explain more about match engine mechanics.
El: The core mechanic of the gameplay will revolve around a CyBloc’s footballing skills: Tackling, Passing, Dribbling, Crossing, Shooting and Physical.
Each skill has a rating out of 100 and initially there is no categorization of offending or defending skills i.e. all skills will be judged in a similar manner.
Every key event may require a CyBloc to compete in 1 or 2 of the 6 footballing skills, whichever side has a better rating will have a higher chance of scoring in that key event. A CyBloc’s traits and tactic cards used in a match may affect these skill ratings and thus could turn the tide of a key event if played strategically.
Q6: Can you share with us more about your gameplay & characters?
El: Initially the gameplay will be fairly easy to learn with the initial Exhibition Mode (PvP) being a turn-based card game at its core.
Users will need a team of 3 or 5 CyBlocs to enter a match i.e. 3 CyBlocs versus 3 CyBlocs, or 5 CyBlocs versus 5 CyBlocs between 2 users.
Each match comprises 6 or 10 key events (6 or 10 turns).
Every turn user will need to perform certain interactions, such as selecting which CyBloc to play that Key Event depending on the criteria of that Key Event, or select certain tactic cards which could affect the CyBlocs, or the flow and outcome of a Key Event.
Each key event will result in a goal for either side, or a draw (no goal).
At the end of a match (after 6 or 10 key events depending on 3v3 or 5v5), whichever side has more goals will ultimately win the match.
Q7: Let’s talk about partnerships & influencers that you are collaborating with.
El: At the moment we can only disclose that Coin98 is one of them.
The rest, whether finalized or still under consideration, will be announced once we have a final list as we are only onboarding partners that will provide strategic value (both community building and also gameplay/project development) to CyBall. We are not in need of any funding and can essentially self-fund the project the whole way so it’s not like we will let everyone become a partner if they give us their cheques. It is a good position for the core team to be in because the choosing power is all within our hands. I can at least tell the Coin98 community that we are not onboarding any name that is not worth being placed next to Coin98 on our list of partners!
In the future we are looking to seek either short-term partnerships for tournaments (e.g. similar to other esport tournaments), or for special charity auction events which may include a special CyBloc NFT for our partners (proceeds of sale will go to charities of the partners’ choices). Further, IP registration for new CyBlocs whose appearances resemble professional players is also under consideration as I could imagine some of you may wonder why do our CyBlocs look nothing like professional football players at the moment; it just takes a really long time to get all the IPs and we obviously don’t want to delay the game launch by months or even years.
Q8: Can you share your Roadmap & Marketing strategy in the next 6 months?
El: Phase 1 of CyBall will have two major milestones which are our Genesis NFT Drop in October, and the Alpha Game Launch in November 2021 (this year). Our Play-to-Earn token CBT will also be launched together with the Alpha Game Launch. This token is similar to SLP in Axie Infinity.
Phase 2 which starts in December and may last until early 2022 will include a lot more gameplay updates, as well as ecosystem updates such as our native NFT Marketplace, a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) interface to trade tokens directly from CyBall’s interface, and also CyLoans which is essentially a next-level fully automated guild/scholarship system.
Phase 3 will be towards the middle to end of Q1 2022, which will involve a lot of scaling upgrades, porting to mobile platform, any remaining gameplay updates such as stadiums and/or competitive modes.
Beyond Phase 3 we have a lot more in store to reveal once the details are finalized, such as multi-chain implementation (1 game server monitoring multiple chains), spectators and betting, new game modes with live interactions (rather than turn-based, tbc), and building towards a wider metaverse with our CyBloc NFTs.
We have seen many projects laid out an extremely long-term roadmap over 3 or even 5 years, only to dumpster it all within the first year and do not want to make the same mistake. Smaller steps shall lead to bigger steps, especially for a game because community feedback will lead to a lot of necessary rebalancing and tweaks as well as new ideas along the way.
Q9: Where can we find out more about Cyball on social media?
BSC_Daily Admin: With this, we are now at the end of our AMA session with Cyball.
Time for wrapping up, any last words you would like to say to our community?
El: Thanks for having me here, it was really good to share our project with you guys! Please continue to show support!
BSC_Daily Admin: Thank you so much for spending time with our community & all the very best for Cyball.
