What is Scroll?

Scroll is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses zkRollups to provide high throughput and low fees. It is a fully EVM-equivalent zkRollup, meaning it can execute any Ethereum smart contract without any modifications. This makes it a versatile platform for DeFi, NFTs, and other dapps.

Scroll has raised $83 million in funding over two rounds. The latest round, a $50 million Series B, was led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Sequoia China, Bain Capital Crypto, Moore Capital Management, Variant Fund, Newman Capital, IOSG Ventures, and Qiming Venture Partners. The funding round brings Scroll’s valuation to an estimated $1.8 billion.
