Obol Network Mainnet Open Beta
Obol Network is set to launch its Mainnet Open Beta on December 1st, allowing anyone to operate distributed validators (DVs) on mainnet.
The DVs, which distribute a validator’s key across multiple nodes, enhance Ethereum’s fault tolerance by ensuring continued validation even if a node in the cluster goes offline. Obol also introduced the Obol SDK, a TypeScript tool for creating and managing DV clusters, and Obol Splits, a series of smart contracts for handling reward, principal, and fee allocation within DV Clusters.
EtherFi eETH Goes Live On Mainnet
EtherFi has launched eETH, its liquid restaked token, in beta on the mainnet. Users who whitelisted can mint eETH by depositing ETH.
eETH is natively restaked on EigenLayer, offering higher yields for liquid stakers once Actively Validated Services go live. Early mainnet stakers can earn loyalty points. EtherFi plans to expand eETH minting to all users and integrate it into various DeFi protocols, including Balancer, Aura Finance, Gravita Protocol, Mav Protocol, and Pendle Finance.
Lido’s wstETH is Now Available Throughout the Base Ecosystem
wstETH is now available on Base, an Ethereum L2. This will give Base users access to staked ETH and its benefits, such as liquidity and stability. It will also allow Base protocols to integrate wstETH to improve their liquidity and usability.
In the beginning, wstETH will be available on dApps like KyberSwap, Beefy, and Aerodrome. In the future, it is expected to be available on many more growing protocols.
